Great question. We have so many exciting promotions going on right now I don’t know where to begin. In our service department we have a special to get your vehicle ready for the winter season. Bring your car into our service department, and for only $19.95 we will change your oil, inspect your tires and rotate them, check your coolant, service your battery, inspect your belts and hoses, top off all your fluids, and wash your car! This is a smoking deal folks! Call 886-1700 and schedule your appointment today.
In our sales department, we will be giving gifts certificates worth up to $200 at Sears just for taking a test drive and every Saturday night we will be giving away a free shopping spree worth $1000.00 just in time for the Christmas season. So come on down today folks! There’s no purchase necessary. It’s our way of saying thanks to you.
Also, if you bring in a can of food, West Valley Auto Plaza will match that can of food and donate it to the Utah Food Bank. With all the turmoil going on out there this is an especially needy year so bring down some food!
And finally I have personally never seen prices on cars so low. I know it’s said all the time everywhere but this is an especially good time to be shopping for a car. Just take a look at some of our prices and I’m sure you’ll agree it’s just a great time to be in the market. Just a few examples: We have a great selection of 2007 Dodge Durangos. These SUV’s would have sold for $17000 to $19000 just a few months ago. They’re starting at $12999. Those kinds of prices are just unheard of. Give our awesome sales staff a call right away to schedule your appointment. Folks, we realize times are tough right now. What that means to me is we’ve got to work harder than ever to make sure you’re 100% satisfied with our services. I appreciate you taking the time to check out what we have to offer. We will work harder than anyone to take care of you and we won’t jerk you around!

Hey Nick does this credit thing going on mean I can’t get approved for a car?
No! It has definitely been an interesting time in our world. We’ve lost quite a few lenders recently due to the credit crunch among other factors but, our organization has a few huge advantages that make it easier for us to get folks with less than perfect approved. The first thing is we’ve been doing this for over eight years. We have a proven track record with the industries top lenders and they want to continue doing business with the dealers that have a positive track record. Luckily we have an excellent track record with these lenders. We also have a huge amount of volume compared to some of our competition and that makes it easier for us to get lower interest rates and better terms for our customers. We also do a ton of business with Utah’s credit unions and they are not affected by this credit crunch as much as most of the other lenders are. We can still get you some amazing rates with these lenders and you do not I repeat you do not have to have perfect credit to qualify for these rates. The best thing to do is give us a call or better yet apply online. It’s quick and easy!
Folks, it never hurts to see what we can do for you regardless of your credit situation. You just never know. We can help just about anyone get into a vehicle and on the rare occasion that we’re unable to get you into a car, we tell you exactly why and exactly what you need to do in order to qualify so no matter what happens it’s a great idea to get in touch with us.
Whether your situation is your in a car that’s not working for you, you want to lower your interest rate, or you would like to improve your credit situation we are here to help. So get in touch with us!

Nick, what do you mean when you say, "we won't jerk you around?"
“We won’t jerk you around” is much more than just a clever slogan here at West Valley and Ogden Auto Plazas. What it means is we don’t waste our customer's time. We work harder than any other dealer to pinpoint exactly what it is our customers need in their next vehicle and what is most important to our customers. We then work harder than any other dealer to come up with the closest thing possible to what it is they’re looking for. We don’t fill them up with a bunch of spin and fluff essentially telling them we can do something for them we can’t really do. We quickly and professionally tell them the truth!
For example, if what you are trying to accomplish is something that simply isn’t possible we will tell you. Some folks want a $20,000 vehicle for $200 a month. This just isn’t possible and a car dealer; however good his or her sales talk is simply cannot accomplish this. Rather than try to impress you with our sales talents we will be up front with you and try to work out some kind of compromise that works for you the customer.Folks, the bottom line is this: Buying a car doesn’t have to be a lousy experience. You don’t have to deal with jerks that think they’re smarter than you are to get into your next car. There is a dealer out there that just wants to sell you a car you like at a payment you can afford and congratulations...you just found that dealer!

Hey Nick you have any deals right now?
Of coarse I do. I’m a used car dealer after all! You know what’s crazy? I went to the auction a couple weeks ago and paid more money for a 2007 corolla than I did a 2008 Titan. The price difference on these vehicles new is about twelve thousand dollars. I know gas prices are high but does this make any sense at all? I know I’m kind of beating a dead horse with this truck and SUV thing but folks I’m telling you this market is so wacky right now. If you’ve always wanted a truck or SUV but thought you couldn’t afford one here is your opportunity. Check out some of the amazing prices we have in our inventory. Fill out an online app and see what we can accomplish for you or just give us a call. Let me just give you a few examples. We have a ton of 06 Trailblazers that would have been priced in the low 20’s just a few months ago for mid teens now. We’re talking five to seven thousand dollars less because gas went up a few cents. How about a diesel truck? We have a 07 Dodge Cummins that would have been in the mid thirties new priced in the low 20’s. These are just deals. We have several SUV's priced under ten thousand so if you’ve wanted to be under 200 a month on an truck or SUV, here’s your chance. So give us a shot. To be able to get into a truck or SUV for less than a small car is a great opportunity folks. My suggestion: Get in touch with us right away.

Hey Nick what do you think of these gas prices?
I don’t like them one bit! It is no fun going to the pump these days but there are a few bright spots believe it or not. It would appear that prices are finally stabilizing which is good news because we can quit worrying about how high they’re going to go for the time being. The other thing about these prices, and this might sound weird, is you absolutely couldn’t pick a better time to get into a truck or suv. The prices on these things have dropped like a rock. We have a Hummer H2 that would have sold for $35,000 just a few month ago for the low 20’s. Diesel trucks man! They are so incredibly cheap right now. It’s nuts. We have an 07 cummins that sold for $35000 plus new for less than $20,000! So yes gas prices are high-higher than they’ve ever been but if you’ve needed a third seated suv for the family that can tow something here’s your chance. You know one big vehicle carrying a bunch of people and stuff is still going to get better fuel economy than taking two small cars right? Now I’m not suggesting you go out and buy a rig you have no use for but if you have a big family, or you need a truck for work what in the world are you waiting for? Come in and take advantage of this crazy situation we have going on right now. When gas prices stabilize for a while and they will, no matter how high they get folks are still going to need bigger cars and trucks for practical reasons. And when the market comes back on these big rigs so will prices so get on in here and steal a truck or suv!

I know you’re a car dealer so you’re viewpoint might be a little skewed, but do you have any suggestions on buying a car?
Just buy your next car from me and don’t worry about it! Seriously I have several pointers for you that I think could really help you make the right choice when buying your next car. First of all I would suggest that you know what you want. You don’t need to decide on an exact model or even type of car but I would suggest that you at least have an idea of what you want or need your next vehicle to do for you. Are you looking for a reliable car with great gas mileage? Do you need a 4x4 for your job or your leisure activities? Do you have a large family and need a seven-passenger vehicle? These are the kinds of questions you should be asking yourself before walking into a dealership. Now that you have an idea of what you want it’s time to start shopping. This is where it can get tough. There are so many options out there. My suggestion would be to shop at a place you’ve heard of before that cares about their reputation. There are a bunch of dealers that simply don’t care whether the car they sell you is clean and reliable or just a piece of junk and they’re not willing to do anything to help you if the car has problems after the sale. So ask them about their after sale repair policy. This could be huge! Other questions to ask: How long have they been in business? Do they have their own repair shop or do they outsource? Do they have a warranty that comes with the vehicle? What kind of reconditioning do they do to the vehicle? You don’t want to have to replace brakes or tires a few months after purchasing the vehicle. When your dealing with the salesperson, are they trying to show you vehicles you don’t want? Are they listening to what you want or are they pretending like they didn’t hear you? Are they hitting you with down and payments that are way more than you can afford? Are they treating you with respect? Folks, there are probably thirty different dealership within a few miles of where you live. So leave! Don’t put up with that kind of treatment for one second. Finally, the biggest problem I see with customers is they go in knowing they should ask these questions, knowing they should find out the book value, have the car checked out by a mechanic but get so caught up in the moment they forget to do these things and make a decision they ultimately regret. Keep your head in the game, ask the right questions, take the vehicle you’re interested in out for a few hours so you can get your game plan worked out before going into negotiations, make decisions that are best for you and your family and most importantly feel good about the car and the place you bought the car from because you’ll be dealing with both for a very long time.

Hey Nick when will you be in the new building? You had mentioned something in your previous blog about previous customers?
We are here! In fact we’ve been in for about a week now getting all the kinks out and getting all our signage, inventory and everything else on line. Man what a project. Our new facility is just beautiful and man is it huge! I feel tiny in this place! We now have waiting areas for both our service and sales customers. We have a beautiful showroom floor and a huge 20000 square foot service facility to really help step up customer service in the maintenance and warranty area bringing the total square footage to a whopping 35000. We’ve spent a tremendous amount of time and energy to make our new facility a great place to buy a car and when you come see it, I think you’ll agree it’s something special. To our previous customers: We are having an open house this Thursday from two to six-o-clock to show off our new facility and thank you for being a part of making us what we are today. So please, bring your family and come check out West Valley Auto Plaza’s new place. I’ll personally take you on a tour and we won’t jerk you around!
